I put my magazine project into a slideshare document so that it would be easier for people to access it and view it when they do my survey. Also it's just a good way of displaying my magazine.

I did flat plans for my whole magazine before I even began to start on my photoshop version. The flat plans were a key part of planning as they were a rough template that I worked around and changed heavily throughout doing my magazine.

Reader Profile for Bassline
This is my mood board or reader profile and this just gives an insight to what my magazine is about and what the readers of my magazine will probably be into and also you could expect me to mention these topics in my magazine. for example the type of music is indicated and what TV so this shows that it is mainly targeted at males. (I changed the Baseline spelling after doing this reader profile.)

Photoshop skills task - Create Popsplash magazine Cover.
Creating the 'Popsplash' magazine cover was a small task that we did before the production of our music magazines began and this was helpful because it was the first time since creating my 'RADAR' magazine that I got to test my Photoshop skills on creating a magazine, and to see how they had developed. As the genre information to put on the cover for 'Popsplash' was already decided and given to us I began with research into that are of magazines. After looking at a few other magazines and thinking what the age group would be which is 9 to 14 year old girls I knew that one of the most important factors was picking the right colours and a common choice was pale background colours such as the blue I used and bright colours to correspond to them to make this masthead, cover lines and pull quotes stand out and grab the readers attention. I also took into account that in younger female magazines such 'gossip', 'seventeen' they all use a wide variety of fonts which in some genres could seem too much and tacky but this genre it works well and is a clear common convention that occurs in them, this is why I used a variety of fonts for the cover lines.
